It also appears that some of the old imperial institutions (The secret police, and the court to name a few) are still active, the court officially dissolved the day before Lolbit’s trial was meant to take place.

Shadow’s baby, Melody, was apparently sent to the god Nergal as part of an old decree that the emperor issued, the secret police had no knowledge of the fact he stepped down. Whatever, missing babies are important I guess, it’s also worth mentioning that Nergal lives in a ziggurat in the underworld, but no one knows where the entrance to the underworld actually is. Some say it’s in the Zagros mountains, others say it’s between the Tigris and Euphrates, no one knows for sure. So shadow is gonna have quite a job.

Now that the emperor stepped down there is no central figure to rally around. There is also word of terrorists funded by Lolbit threatening to storm the elections and enact a coup de tat. A Coup De Tat is not a Coup De Grace to this political instability.

News on Lamprey, basically nothing. We haven’t found anything noteworthy about him.

Is anything else going on? Nah. Well, perhaps we should take a look at the events that lead to this instability.

Let’s start at when Manticore first joined the fanfictioner community, his first story, the genesis (still going) gained traction. Next, Lamprey ultimately sent the message that would decide dododexian history for at least 2-3 months. He alerted manticore to the presence of fanfictioners in silver dye. Manticore joined, he made 4 stories (1 is still going in its present form, one has been rebranded, and 2 were cancelled because he was lazy) and ultimately made a name for himself. One could make a not so silly argument that WWT caused Manticore to become emperor.

WWT brought up the president idea so Manticore decided to become emperor for power. He later stepped down, due to no common figure to rally around (like him or not) there is now political instability. And that’s how the golden age of fanfictioning went to the dogs
