You have to put your lips around the mouth piece then bite down on your lips for the saxophone to work best (otherwise it may squeak a lot) you have to blow pretty hard it takes a while to get used to that and actually building up and amount of air you can use. There’s over 20 different keys. You have to put the mouthpiece on far enough on the piece that connects the mouthpiece to the rest of the saxophone. The one I play weighs like 7 pounds and there are heavier kinds. So all that weight is on your neck and thumb.
