Actually, not only is the Rex a fictional subspecies of dinosaur, all the creatures in Ark a fictional and never existed, which explains why so many are different to their real life counterparts. For example, the Titanaboa was not a frilled, venomous snake, but a massive boa constrictor longer than a goddamn t-Rex, which scares me. And extends my love of snakes even further.
