ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion

I was just moving along just fine in the White Chalk Hills on the Valguero. I was thinking of taming something. I just needed to find something right for my taste. I find an Ovis, needs to eat cake. I then found a diplodocus, eh I don’t even have the saddle yet. But then... I saw it... the mighty Kangaroo... hopping around like nothing mattered. I HAD to tame it, it had all the things I needed! It was fast, it was fast, and best of all, it was fast. I placed a large bear trap down, and waited for it to step in it... I waited, and waited, and waited, UNTIL. It had finally stepped in it. I proceeded to shoot my tranq arrows, and finally, it KO’d. I then quickly paused the game to see on Dododex what to feed it, but then I noticed it needed rare mushroom... by then I froze. My controller making a loud CLANG on the tile floor. I- didn’t have any on my person at the moment. I-I would have to go back to my house and get them from my Mammoth. I ran like my life depended on it. Once I got there I felt relieved and took the Mushroom out of my Mammoth’s inventory. I then quickly went back, and once I was in the vicinity, something was missing. The procoptodon was gone. Who could have done such a thing?!?!? Until, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. An orange tail flashed pass me. I then turned around, and all I saw was teeth when I was dissipated out of existence. My raptor ran away and somehow outran the beast. By the time I respawned I quickly ran back to find my raptor standing on top of the giant’s body. I then mounted my raptor and when to go find my inventory that was lost to the mysterious dinosaur. I then found my inventory, and equipped my Hide armor. I swore never to speak of that day again.As I strolled silently back to my wooden base, I thought about what that mysterious dinosaur could’ve been, and how that probably would not be the last of sighting of that dinosaur later in my gameplay.
