Well let me tell you about a little something called "b spam" after jumping on the frog, you can spam the b button for a glitch that will not only reset your fall damage meter, but will also prepell the frog back up high enough to recover the height you lost. You'll also gain enormous amounts of speed mid air while doing this, making traversing the entire island go from being a 15 minute flight to a 5 minute hop when done right.
