The Last Hope

The chapter 6 where the tables turn(turns table)

Hurricane awoke in a dimly lit den. Looking around, he saw four dragons around him, including Current. A light orange ember, a dark black blood, and another purple tropical next to Current.

He jerked up when a sudden pain engulfed his chest. Looking down, there was a bandage of beech leaves.

"Who are you? What happened?" Hurricane glanced around. The female purple tropical answered. "Well, we found you lying in the dust storm with a black and purple knife inside of you. And I'm Angler." Angler answered. "My brother Current, my friends Blaze and Splatter." She answered, refrencing to Blaze the ember and Splatter the blood.

Hurricane looked over to the corner of the small cave. A stack of treasure glimmered, on top half of the artifact Blicket had been keeping.

Wait.. That means.. They must have went where ever that thing leads to, and it's still usable!

"I know how to get out!" He exclaimed. "Oh really?" Splatter groaned, scratching the floor with his talons next to Blaze as Blaze thwacked her tail on the floor.

"Yes, yes I do! It's the artifact!" Hurricane grabbed it, while Angler lunged forward to stop him. She was too late.

"We need to go outside," Hurricane informed, looking at the world without a dust storm.

Splatter looked up slightly hopefully, Blaze nodded cheerfully, Current was already running outside, and Angler just rolled her eyes and followed her brother.

Hurricane felt no more pain.

His eyes felt warm. His chest felt weird.

His face turned to a sickening black while his eyes turned dark.

'SHOW THEM WHO YOU ARE.' Alpha's voice ordered, coming from all sides seemingly.

'YOU ARE ONE WITH THE CORRUPTION.'

(warning this is kinda gorey, ok really gorey skip down there if you don't wanna read)

Hurricane seized Current's neck with his wing talons and twisted it, Current fell onto the rocks below, his corpse bouncing from one to another. Flying up, he saw Angler gasp in shock. Hurricane dove into her and winded her, slashing her guts out. As blood spurted onto him, he raced at full speed towards the fleeing Splatter, as he knocked him onto the ground and pulled his mouth open, ripping his tongue out. He threw him onto a sharp spike rock and spotted Blaze, hiding in the cave. Hurricane sprinted in there and pounced on her, pinning her on her back and bulging her eyes out with his back talons, then he ripped her head of with his front.

(Ok Hurricane killed the others)

Panting, he looked around. "What have I done?" He hissed to himself, peeling the bandage off. "WHAT DID YOU DO, ALPHA!?"

'FEAR NOT, YOUNG ONE.' Alpha roared. 'GO CLEAN YOURSELF OFF AND USE THE ARTIFACT."

Hurricane didn't want to. He wanted to keep his family safe. But his legs moved into the water, brushing the blood off. He flung the artifact high in the air as it activated.
