Back at the underground lake, the giant tuso attempting to break free from it's lake,

By the time Lolite and Goldenbeak had got there, she'd picked up a large stalagtite and was using it as a battering ram to smash down a weak section of the bluish stone wall.

Eventually there was a colossal tremor and the whole cavern split from floor to ceiling, opening up like some gigantic coconut cracked by a pegomastax,

Water flooded in from the crack as the cave collapsed into rubble, leaving the rocrystalwyvern and griffin stranded at the bottom of the sea.

The tuso quickly grabbed them in one giant tentacle, managing to engulf both of them in a single sucker, and lifted them to the surface.

"Thank you for freeing me, strange looking dragon" she wrote in ink, "if you ever need my assistance, pour a drop of this blood into the sea, and I will come" the cephalopod released the closing muscle in of the suckers on her tentacles, and inside was a tiny rhombus shaped qwartz crystal flask with a single drop of bright red fluid in it.

Goldenbeak picked up the tiny vial of blood and stashed it in a sack strapped around her right wing that Lolite had somehow not noticed.

The tuso swam to the first island and dropped them on the beach, where they were stared at in a judgemental way be the resident hesperornis.

"We should camp here for the night and to the next few islands tomorrow" Goldenbeak said.
