The isle of the griffins chapter 7(chapter five is chapter six)
Lolite frantically thought of what he might do.
'we'll all die here, probably in some very gruesome way, don't bother delaying it' said his negative side.
'no, we'll live, we're a rock drake, we can turn invisible' his positive side said.
"Wait, you're right!" He said, momentarily forgetting they were inside his head.
As the lightning wyverns tossed him into the lake, he blipped invisible just after he hit the surface and swam away from the ribcage and the tentacles.
But it seemed that whatever owned them saw through his invisibility easily, a massive tentacle grabbed him, it's taloned suckers siphoning blood back to the creature's mouth far below,
The rest of the creature started to rise from the lake,
First were another five tentacles,
Then two more smaller ones,
And then a huge beak,
Then a pair of eyes,
And finally the front part of a massive dark red body.
It looked like a tusoteuthis, but far larger than any Lolite had ever heard of.
The massive creature squirted a cloud of ink from a tiny tube just by it's beak, and shaped it into the letters:
"What are you ?"
Quickly thinking of an answer, Lolite rebuild the ink cloud into
"Poisonous"
perhaps that wouldn't convince the squid, but it was worth a shot. The tuso rebuilt the ink again into:
"Really ?"
Lolite made another answer:
"Yes, very, very poisonous, eat me and you'll get blisters on your tentacles! And you'll turn green! And then swell up and explode!"
The squid wrote:
"Are you trying to trick me ?" In reply.
"No!" Lolite quickly wrote.
"That's what everyone who tries to trick me says" the squid wrote.
"Ok, fine, I'm trying to trick you" Lolite wrote.
"Well, what are you, 'poisonous'?" The squid wrote back.
"A dragon, haven't you seen them before? You just murdered two" Lolite wrote.
"You're a different sort"
"True, I am" Lolite wrote.
By now, even Lolite himself was starting to wonder what he tasted like, and the squid was not helpful, she was glaring at him with her huge rectangular-pupilled yellow eyes and making it hard to concentrate.
The squid looked at him hard and then wrote
"I will let you go, if you do me one favour"
"I will" Lolite wrote, not really considering what this might be.
"Ok" wrote the squid, "I am chained to the bottom of this tiny lake, I have tried to get free, but my tentacles are too large, if you swim to the bottom and free me, I will help you"
"Ok" Lolite wrote.
"Good, but here is a warning:
If you do not do this,
I will break every bone in your weird bony dragon body,
Tear out your hearts,
Puncture your ridiculous air-breathing bags,
Pull out your guts and tie them in a knot,
Impale your stomachs,
And then if you're lucky, I'll let your grim remains float to the surface to warn off other troublemakers"
