It had been two months since the destruction of their village. Slav and Nedti had gone their separate ways.

Every day of his life since he had been on the run, he thought about Victor. He was still out there, and so was Cenness. All that was left was Parker and Flash, and that wouldn’t be enough to take down Victor.

Slav thought of Arciro, probably just a pile of dusty bones in the Tek cave. He thought about the guardians of the ARK, probably laughing about Slav’s misfortune. He lay down to rest.

When he woke up, a sabertooth was staring in his face.

“Aaah! Get away!” Slav yelled, and shot it with a longneck. The crumpled body fell down the cliff where Slav had set up camp.

Slav thought one last time. He vowed to get revenge for Arciro. For his village.

For his life.
