Chapter 19

- The Nazgûl

Alex stood her ground. The two soldiers circled. One charged. She blocked his attack and kicked him spinning around just in time to block the second ones attack.

“I got the other one.” Spark said.

Alex kept fighting.

“Your dead.” The soldier said.

“I wouldn’t be so sure about that.”

The soldier swung and Alex sidestepped and hit his leg.

“So, you think you can beat me? You’re just an archer. You can’t beat someone as skilled as me with a sword.”

“Keep telling yourself that.”

He rushed her. She sidestepped again.

“So sloppy. How did you fall for that again? I thought you said you were skilled with a sword.”

He swung his sword. She disarmed him and hit his arm.

“Go on. Pick it up. I won’t kill and unarmed man. Or are you too afraid?”

The soldier took and overhead swing. She sidestepped again and slashed him across the back. She took the dagger from his sheath and fired it from her bow killing the other soldier as he fought Spark.

Bart had had enough. His men were dwindling. He walked onto the battlefield.

He stopped within ten feet of Alex and Spark.

“I see you made quick work of my soldiers.”

“If these were trained by you your gonna be easy.” Alex said.

“Oh I wouldn’t think so. I am far better than they are. I have fought a raptor with my bare hands. I-“

“Doesn’t seem like you fared well. You’re missing an arm.” Alex spoke again.

“I have had enough of your talk. I will fight you, but not him at the same time.”

“Spark, back up.” Alex said.

Alex and Bart stared at each other. The rest of Bart’s men had fallen. There was a sudden rumbling. A reaper emerged and swallowed Bart whole.

“Well that was a quick end to things.” Spark said.

The reaper was no match for Spark and Alex. It soon died. Victory had come at last.
