Chapter 15

- The Nazgûl

Spark and his men were wearying.

“Hold your ground. Don’t give up!” He kept telling them. Suddenly a loud roaring was heard. Not a roar of a lion or tiger, but of a crowd. Everyone froze. They looked to the far side of the cavern. Alex and her men were charging into the cavern.

“Don’t stop fighting. Continue the attack!” Spark yelled. Everything after words was filled with confusion on the corrupted soldiers part. One second they were winning, then a fear and terror crept over them when they heard the shouts, Then they were suddenly being cut down one by one. Alex’s men came right down the middle of their forces as Spark and his men pushed as a wall through the other side. Within moments, the area was cleared. Alex did not waste time in warning Spark.

“Spark, the rest of the forces are behind us. Their leaders are with them. They also have four huge catapults.”

“Then we have yet to fight the hardest battle.”

“I can take out the catapults, but I am going to need two spear bolts and a long rope.”

“I can get you that. While I do that, go check on the soldiers and see how Jennifer’s holding up. I don’t know what your idea is, and I don’t know if I want to ask, but I trust it will work. Good luck.”
