Tips & Strategies
One tips : bring many bolas as you can and use sheep meat its op 👌🏻🐑
They are now tameable on lost island
Jumps, does bleed, travles in packs, can be bola, takes lots to trank, cooked ovis is king, halves resource weight, walks freely on ziplines, resuced fall damage, and looks amazing.
For the love of god if you have just tamed up a high level ravager and think you can take on a wild pack solo and live you thought wrong...
Great for pve as the make moving items throughout a base simple. A wild one with 800+ weight at tame can have 2k weight after leveling and some mats get reduced weight so they help it you need to organize clutter. They can fit though double doors so if you stack two tek double doors it both allows you to fit and looks cool, Can walk up spiral staircase easily.
Wanna tame a ravager? I might have some tips that could help! Step one before going out to tame one it’s best to prepare! This is completely up to you what to bring! The ravager very obviously is a carnivore, So it’s best to pack prime or mutton! (Kibble works too!) Ravagers are deadly when you get overwhelmed, the best way to go about this relatively safely is to eithor net them, or grapple ( I recommend shooting a grapple at your base and getting used to the buttons before you go!) I recommend bringing 1/2 flak armor sets (the shield is optional) make sure to pack at least 150 narcotics or more! I recommend bringing 20 tranq darts, a longneck rifle, also consider bringing medical brews! To knock them out is relatively simple here’s some facts that may help; they commonly spawn in pack of 3, when they finish killing something they split up and walk a few feet away before coming back, they will do a gnash attack regardless of whether the alpha is there or not, they are moderately fast, average speed is about 3/9 faster than u with base stats (this was a estimation) Taming is similar to a rapter I’m pretty sure other than the kibble, feed narcotics every 10 to 25 seconds and eventually! You have your self a Savage nugget with legs and jaws with oversized teeth and claws! What for? Well here’s some uses u might want to consider! Transport, with a mount like this I doubt anyone will mess with you, they can carry a small amount of goods! They are also good cave mounts because they can jump, and function in tight spaces, they also do a decent amount of dmg per bite! Overall a good option of transport in aberration, or any map really! You might want to consider taming one! Good luck, happy taming, and take care! :D
MONSTER LOG
Ravager
Behavior: Aggressive
They always seem to be at places at the worse time, not to mention that they hunt in packs of 3 to 5. Escaping is almost impossible due to there bleed bite in packs which slowly turns you into a snack. And you don’t find them, they find you! Once tamed, they become very useful mounts. They are able to climb up zip lines, even if wild. They jump up to 3 walls high. And even have a pack boost as earlier mentioned. Best of all, they don’t glow in the dark, making it easier for them to kill you in the barren mushroom forest.
HOW TO TAME
You will need, 1 Megalosaurus, 1 2 x 2 x 3 stone doorframe trap with ramps leading to the ground, 1 crossbow/longneck, Tranq Arrows/Darts, and taming food of choice (Mutton is recommended)
First, Let the pack find you, wait it the mushroom forest
Second, On the megalo, pick up the leader and run
Third, Drop the leader in the trap
Fourth, Knock it out with the Tranq arrows/darts
Lastly, Put in taming food
Happy taming!

Build a 2x2 pen with door frames 2 high and a ramp. Lead an entire pack into the trap and knock them all out at once and make sure you have at least 35-40 cooked lamb chops for them all.
Hey just thought of a small trap that a midrange level person could make you have a one by one of stone but instead of walls you have doorframes and one side is double doors thats how you get them in and out and you have a bear trap in the middle you trap it then run over and shut the double doors (i dont know if this is new or can help someone but if it can that would make my day.)
Bola them first and tranq dart them, anything above lvl 35 will take more than 1 bola lvl 95 and up is going to a struggle if you’ve just spawned in, but great travel mount and great in combat just pump health and melee, stam doesn’t drop that much, similar to a thyla
It’s weird how cooked meat tames faster than raw! Good to know!
I once was walking around my block with my new freshly tamed Stego and a cute little Bulbdog on my shoulder. It was a nice day.
When a pack of 4 arrived it turned into a bad one
To say this from my personal experience, the ravager or properly named cave wolf is an absolutely massive pain in the rear. They're basically a significantly upgraded raptor that is surprisingly more annoying to deal with. Aside from the use of a Bola, many of the techniques used to get rid of raptors simply do not work on the ravager, as leading them to large herbivores may lead to bigger problems since they can heal from a kill. Since they have more than twice the health, it can be difficult to pick them off from a distance, and their ability to jump and climb ziplines and vines makes them a real threat to escape from. Thankfully the Parasaur is capable of scaring them off, and I have even seen wild parasur scaring away ravagers with their calls. Just like the raptor, the ravager is a challenging enemy that can become an equally viable attack animal. The best advice I can give to anyone about preparing for taking on or attempting to rid there yard of ravagers, is to treat them like the threat they are
If you don’t have bolas or some form of defense they will kill you. Always have bolas, a cross bow or rifle with stone arrows or rifle bullets, or even a pike on you. These guys spawn in the green zone, especially around the fertile lake, so be aware of your surrounding.
DO NOT USE KIBBLE TO TAME THESE! Yes, you can tame with kibble, but even with extraordinary kibble you will only gain about 1-1.8% tame with each kibble it eats. Plus it's taming effectiveness drops to approx. 87% after first bite. Do not listen to whoever says to use kibble. Might work on mobile phone version (don'tknow), but definitely not PC version of the game. Cooked Mutton is best!
When taming their food has to go down a huge amount before eating
