Chapter twenty five: The Warrior Queen.
Jack dove back in forth, slicing enemy soldiers and horses with his sword. “Man, I’m so glad that Josh Swan taught us to use swords!” Jay exclaimed to him, cutting a soldier behind. The soldier fell to the ground dead, blood oozing from the wound in his stomach. Jack nodded, to focused to say anything else. A large rock suddenly whizzed by, almost hitting Jay. Jay skidded to the side just in time. He glared at the direction it came from. Jack saw that it was Marvelo who had threw it, using his telekinetic powers to throw it at them.
Marvelo raised his hand and another boulder came flying at them. Jay’s medallion glowed a vibrant green and he opened a portal in front of it. If flew in it and flew out another portal which led to it hitting the Krakos. Tom the Krakos barely flinched. A wyvern and it’s rider flew straight toward Tom’s face, breathing fire and baring its fangs. Tom simply lifted his hand and batted it away, like a child might bat away a toy. The wyvern screeched with pain and was hurled away. It hit the ground, breathing heavily. The rider had fallen off sometime in between its flight.
There was only one wyvern left, and that was Celia, the wyvern General Paul was riding. “We’re going to lose!” Jack cried, while battling a enemy soldier who had formed a ice sword, using his medallion implant. Jay stabbed him from behind. They paused for a second, wiping sweat from their tired faces. Jay grimaced. “I know. But we can’t go down without a fight.” Jay said grimly. Jack nodded and they embraced shortly.
“We’ll do this…together!” Jack said. Jay grinned. “Always.” Another soldier ran at them and they took him down easily. They fought together side by side, taking down the enemy, until they were tooken down by enemy woman soldier, who’s implant ability was manipulating plant growth. Jay and Jack were covered in vines, practically suffocating. The soldier walked toward them, her vine covered sword facing them. “Is this how we’re gonna die? By a plant lady?” Jack choked out. Jay attempted a grin. “Silence!” The woman barked. Her eyes were blank, and her face emotionless. A lifeless grin appeared on her face, as she raised her sword to annihilate them when…Suddenly a loud piercing cry echoed through the sky. “What was that?” Jay choked.
Jack couldn’t answer. He couldn’t breath. Something suddenly whizzed through the air. A arrow. It struck the woman in the head. Immediately then plants relaxed around them and Jack and Jay broke free of them. The woman lay at their feet dead. “Look!” Jay cried, pointing upward. Above them was a GIANT flock of armored griffins. On each of the griffins back was a soldier wearing Tek armor. The griffins were wearing it too.
A griffin landed next to them and a woman dismounted it. She had short auburn hair, tanned skin with brown freckles on her face and chocolate brown eyes, and was wearing metal Tek armor. She held a metal bow in her hands. Around her neck was a medallion. “Hello.” She said warmly. “Need a little help?” Jack and Jay exchanged looks of confusion. Another griffin landed nearby and a man dismounted it.
There was no time for introductions. Jay, Jack and the two other people fought side by side until they cleared a perimeter around them. The woman turned them, her eyebrows knit together in concentration. “Who are you?” Jay asked. The woman grinned. “I guess you’re father and mother never told y’all about me. I’m your Aunt Jenny.” She said. “WE have a aunt?!?!” Jack exclaimed. Jenny nodded. “But where have you been?” Jay asked. The smile face of Jenny’s face. “After James(Your father) your father took your mother into hiding, Tom came to the dark Phoenix castle and…tried to kill all remaining heirs to the throne, and attempted to find Jay. He killed my parents, your grandparents, but I escaped with some loyal guards and all the citizens.
This is General Owen, my loyalist and bravest General.” Jenny explained, motioning to the man. General Owen bowed respectfully to Jay and Jack. “I’m happy to serve any nephews or nieces of our Warrior Queen.” General Owen said. “So how do we defeat the Krakos?” Jack asked. Jenny glanced at the towering black figure, that was trying to bat the dodging griffins in the sky. “I’m afraid it going to be a long difficult battle. There was only one person who could defeat Tom easily…and that was my brother James. There will be a lot of sacrifice today. The Krakos will not be easily defeated.”

Chapter 12: Beacon of Hope
Part 2/2
Suddenly a beam of green light hit them, and Neddy let out a gasp, jumping away from the light.
“What the-” Ruby stammered. Neddy looked up to the sky to see something hurling to the ground.
“Ruby watch out!” Neddy shouted. He jumped forward and pushed her out of the way. Just in the nick of time, something landed into the soft grass of the forest.
BOOM!
“Ahhh!” Ruby cried, “What just happened?!”
Neddy turned back to see a weird structure that was glowing green laying in the grass. It was a 3D implant-shaped structure that was humming with power. The strange beam of green light still lingered around.
“A lot of crazy stuff has happened in the past few hours,” Neddy said, “But THIS definitely tops everything.”
Neddy reached his hand forward to touch it, but Ruby got up and grabbed his arm.
“Wait! What if it’s dangerous? What if it gives you cancer or something?!” Ruby said.
“It’s not gonna give me cancer!” Neddy yelled. Neddy shut his eyes and began to think…
“Think Neddy, Think! What would Aurora do?” Neddy pondered to himself, “What would that nerdy emo brat do?”
Neddy opened his eyes, and with sudden realization knew what he needed to do.
“Wait a moment… This beam of light…” Neddy gasped, “What if Aurora and Samuel come here to investigate?!”
“Oh my gosh you’re such a genius!” Ruby laughed as she slugged his shoulder.
“Wooo hooo! I thought of something smart!” Neddy cheered as he pumped his fists in the air. Ruby let out a sigh, taking a seat on the grass. She took out the slabs of meat from their hunt earlier, and turned to Neddy with a gentle smile.
“Neddy, can you help me gather some firewood and thatch? Let’s start a fire and cook some meat.”
Neddy displayed a big grin and gave a thumbs up.
“It’s my pleasure. I’m craving some meat too. I’ve always wondered what dinosaur meat tastes like.”
Ruby reached for her pouch and took out a few random materials, and after mashing them together and doing other shenanigans, a crude stone pickaxe and hatchet spawned in her hands. Neddy walked forward, and Ruby gave both tools to him.
“Here. You can use it to chop away at the trees,” Ruby said.
“Got it, captain.”
Neddy walked off and began to hack away at the trees of the forest, and Ruby smiled to herself as she began to set up some rocks into a circle.
“That silly Neddy,” Ruby thought with a smile, “Always having to make me smile like that.”
The more Ruby thought about it, the more at peace she felt. Aurora was a good leader, yes, but surviving on this island felt more stressful with her than without.
“And that Samuel guy… Ugh, what a freak. Such emotionless eyes, and his weird dodo pet is always giving Aurora that weird look. Almost as if she’s a human. What a weirdo pair,” Ruby thought, cringing at the thought.
But as Ruby continued to ponder, the bushes behind her began to rustle ever so faintly…

Chapter 12: Beacon of Hope
Part 1/2
“Are you sure we’re going in the right direction?” Ruby asked as she nervously began to tap her fingers on her bow.
“Yeah, I think so,” Neddy answered with a proud chest.
“That’s not very reassuring,” Ruby replied with a frown.
“Well it’s not like we’re stoppable. We’re a strong duo, and you’re the only one on the island who knows how to make stuff because of your ability. Plus, my implant allows me to tell if there’s any people coming nearby,” Neddy reminded her.
“But it doesn’t tell you if there are DINOSAURS coming nearby.”
A shade of white washed over Neddy’s face.
“Oh yeah. I almost forgot about that. Uh, but still. It is not that bad, right?”
Ruby opened her mouth to speak, when suddenly a large explosion rang in the distance.
BOOM!
“Huh? I felt a tremor in the ground,” Neddy murmured, “Ruby, are you sure you’re the only one with the ability to make stuff? I have a feeling someone’s having some fun blowing stuff up.”
“How am I supposed to know that?” Ruby scoffed, “Don’t you have your sensing people ability? Figure it out on your own!”
KABOOM!
The next explosion was so large that it sent both of them flying to the ground.
“Woah! Okay, something crazy’s going on,” Neddy groaned as he slowly rose up from the ground. Ruby got up from the ground and brushed the dirt off her arms. Ruby looked up to the sky and gasped.
“You’re right! Look up there!” Ruby pointed her finger, and Neddy turned around to see a giant metal obelisk rising into the air. It looked to be a mile or so away. The menacing obelisk began to make weird vibration noises, and both Ruby and Neddy’s implants suddenly began to glow.
“THE DIFFICULTY OF THE PROTOCOL HAS INCREASED. AS A RESULT THE SYSTEM MUST BE UPDATED,” a robotic voice blared from both of their implants.
“Protocol? Difficulty increases?” Ruby asked.
“This reminds me of a video game,” Neddy whispered, “When you’ve survived for too long, the game makes the obstacles harder to defeat. Throws more dangers at you to keep you on your toes at all times.”
“But, why would it be like that? I thought we were just stranded on an island?” Ruby said.
“And there just happens to be dinosaurs roaming around and weird implants on our wrists?” Neddy stifled a chuckle, “Something tells me there’s more going on on this island. Like someone’s pulling the strings here. Why? I don’t know. Maybe it’s for their own entertainment.”
Neddy looked up to the sky and clenched his fist.
“But whatever it is, it’ll pay for taking my life away.”
Both Neddy and Ruby’s implants flashed purple, and the robotic voice beeped again.
“SYSTEM UPDATED. THE LAW, KILL OR BE KILLED HAS BEEN APPLIED. KILLING WILL NOW MAKE YOU STRONGER.”
“Killing makes you stronger now?” Ruby muttered.
“Just like a game,” Neddy murmured, “I don’t know how that applies to us, but let’s just avoid people from now on. People become desperate to survive. They’ll do whatever it takes.”
“Like killing people?”
“Yes. Exactly like that,” Neddy replied.
So I was looking for people to trade. I found someone gave my a ferti quetz egg for a monkey I got it surprisingly. That’s when I realized I needed air conditioning to hatch it, I DIDN’T HAVE THAT- it’s ok I have the engram but I need the generator and the cords and stuff please wish me luck to hatch this thing if you do wish me luck you will get a gallon of luck
I had myself a quetzal lvl, 30? (Can't remember the lvl since I use the quetzal rarely) and I still don't have it's saddle (I'm lvl 71) and an hunt argy pursuit popped up on the top left corner of my screen, so I decided to check dododex what I would be rewarded if I completed the pursuit and I randomly pressed story and saw how unfortunate people's future quetzal flew into the redwoods and got killed while they're trying to tame it, I sighed in relief since I got lucky taming one (mine only flew into the beach near the swamp).
1 up = 1 prayers for the killed quetzals. (Quetzals are my fav dinos to tame)
I had an amazing quetz with A plat saddle, a generator, and two turrets with 250+ bullets in each. I was flying near herbivore island and accidentally flew to close to the water and dismounted. I fell off and it flew away towards the mainland. I still search for him to this day, hoping to find him.
