Chapter 48 ~rebirth and reboot~
“No! Caesar! Get up!” Jaxz yelled. “H- ho qually..” Stainly said sadly. They knew what he said. Bones roared out the window. “Wait! Get him to my pool! Quickly!” Lagoon said. “Why?!” The chief asked. “All of us oasisaurs have a special gift we can only do once in a lifetime, just hurry before it’s too late!” Lagoon explained. “Hurry get him to the pool!” The chief said. The apes picked up Caesars body and started out of the house. “OOH BAR QUA LE STA?!” Stainly said. They ignored him and brought Caesar to the oasis, they layed him down in the pool and stood back. “What do we do now?” The chief asked urgently. “Just stand back.” Lagoon said. The oasisaur’s shell shook under their feet, the pool started to glow white, and then a flash of light. When they could see again everything was the same, except Caesar’s arm was back, ish. It was now made of tek but not like tek armor, it was more organic looking, it just looked like his hand was metal. There was lines throughout it that looked like they could be lit up but they were inactive. “Caesar?” Jaxz asked. No reply. “Lagoon, did it not work?!” The chief asked. Bones roared again in anger. “Can you, please stop screaming..” Caesar said faintly. “Gee wallo shak!” Stainly said excitedly. “What is he saying?” Jaxz said. “How would I know, the implant is gone, I don’t have an-” he was cut off mid sentence as he looked at his new arm, shocked. “What the- okay what happened?!” He asked. “You were dead Lagoon somehow brought you back.” The chief said. “Sure.. but what really happened.” Caesar said doubtfully. “He’s telling the truth, I can only do it once in my life, be grateful.” Lagoon said, “And can you please pay me now..” she continued. “ I still don’t have any money..” Caesar said. Lagoon mumbled something under her breath. “Not that I’m not happy about Caesar being, ya know, not dead. But What do we do now? We can’t even talk to this chump anymore( He gestured to Stainly) And we’re no closer to finding Salizar.” Oak said. “I have an idea, Salizar was able to communicate to me through my implant, what if we could reverse engineer it to use his own tech against him, maybe even find the others.” Caesar said. The others seemed to like the idea so he went back inside Stainly’s home to work. It was very weird to get the implant out of his old arm, for him and everyone watching. But he did it, he had absolutely no idea how the implant worked, but somehow he was able to figure it out. “Ye shulk feedo quetta?” Stainly suggested gesturing towards the universal translator, Caesar removed it and handed it to him, he took it and did his own experiments on it. They both worked throughout the night. It was about 6:30 in the morning when Stainly said. “Testing? Testing?” “Who’s in there with you Caesar!” The chief asked threateningly from just outside. “It’s me, Doctor Ruthford Stainly.” Stainly said. “What?! How can we understand you? How can you understand us?!” Jaxz asked from the window. “Eureka! I’ve done it!” He exclaimed. Caesar looked at him, he was holding up his arm speaking gibberish into it and then through the implant they heard regular language, and vise versa, he had modded his implant with crude technology (well crude compared to tek.) and some tek. The new device was so large it was all around his arm like a cuff. “So what are you trying to accomplish Caesar?” He asked. “I’ve been trying to hack into the implant and kick Salizar out so I can use it, but he’s fighting me…” Caesar replied. “Perhaps I can help.” Stainly said. He took the keyboard. Ceasar had the implants outer shell off and the teknology hooked up to Stainly’s computer, he was from the industrial revolution but there was scientists in his old tribe who taught him the technologies of his future, including a Tek federation scientist. He didn’t quite understand tek but he had a basic grasp on it. “Here, look. (He pointed at the schematic for the transponder part of the implant) this is the transponder, that’s how Salizar is communicating to you, and how he controls it.” Stainly said. “So do I remove it?” Caesar asked. “No, if we do that then how can we try and contact your friends? instead, if we give a small shock here, (he pointed at a part of the transponder.) we can send it into system reboot, then we’ll have only a few minutes to change all the access codes and lock Salizar out.” Stainly explained. “Ok let’s do it.” Caesar said.
Stainly had the access codes pulled up on the computer and Caesar gave the part a small zap with a small tek lazer torch that Stainly got from his old federation friend. The computer popped up an error code saying: STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF TRANSPONDER COMPRISED. SYSTEM REBOOT IN PROGRESS “structural integrity compromised?!” Caesar said. “It’ll be fine, I hope..” Stainly said as he was changing the codes. “I hope it does..” Caesar said.
The house of madness
Chapter eighteen: Jay and Sylvia’s scheming.
Jay and Sylvia sat in the living room of Autumn’s house. They both sat on the same couch, their hands inches from one another. Jay had met Sylvia a LONG time ago. After the destruction of Tortuga Jay had stepped through a portal that had led him into a rain forest which he traveled through for days on end. He could not find a way back to Tortuga but he didn’t stop searching for his siblings. Eventually he found Jack. At first he was happy to see his brother until Jack told him what had happened to Josephina and Jaquin….Let’s just say Jay never forgave Jack. Jay traveled a long time until upon a strike of luck(or unluck) he met a man named Tom. Tom took him in and Jay in return did Tom’s bidding. He met Sylvia there as well. She had the same powers as him but the difference was that she didn’t have a medallion. Their power includes shape shifting, creating illusions and opening portals to other places. They were actually the first members of the team.(besides Marvelo) After a lot of missions and getting to know each other Jay and Sylvia…fell in love with each other. After awhile tho they came across startling information. Tom was mind wiping people, making people follow him and more. They’d thought all along that they were doing a good thing and being good guys but they weren’t. They were murdering innocents. So they ran away and came to cliffside city and hid with a elf woman named Autumn and her husband Norlin. And here they were now.
Jay tan his hands through his black hair. “What am I gonna do?! That-that man has my sister!(he didn’t know about his brother). “We have to rescue them!” Sylvia put her hand on his arm. “It’s okay Jay. Trust me we will.” She said. Jay sighed. “I’m worried about what Tom will do to her. And how are we gonna save her?” Sylvia smiled. “Easy. First place they’ll look is here because they’d expect us to expect them not to check here because we were just here. But what they won’t expect is that we’ll know their coming and we’ll be ready an I bet…they’ll send the team in. And I’m pretty sure your sister is on the team. Good plan?” Sylvia asked. Jay smirked. “Always have a plan don’t you?” He asked Sylvia. Sylvia’s smile softened slightly. “Indeed. But the one thing I definitely didn’t have a plan for was falling for you.” Sylvia said. Jay’s heart bumped against his chest as they leaned together. The moment was on standstill as their lips closed on each other. Sylvia’s hands clasped the back of Jay’s head as they kissed. A warm feeling spread through his chest. Jay knew he would not be the one to break away first. Finally they broke apart and they gazed into each other’s eyes. “So…are you ready?” Sylvia asked tossing her glossy dark brown hair while having a mischievous look in her eye. Jay grabbed her hand. “I was born ready with you at my side.” He replied.

The Obelisk
-Chapter 55-
“What do you need?” Prince Coal asked.
“Where are all the prisoners’ belongings kept?” Forest asked him.
The Terror bird thought for a moment. “Uh—follow me.” He turned and marched swiftly down the hall. Forest and the others followed close behind.
“Leaving so soon?” Whispered a voice.
Forest whirled, startled, to see a red and grey Megalosaurus, sitting up comfortably in his cell. He recognized the voice—and realized this must be the assassin.
“I—“ Forest began—
“I’m gonna stop you right there,” The assassin interrupted. “Cause I know what you’re gonna say. And don’t worry. This is
Y o u r epic escape. I’m not gonna waste my time and ruin it like any other prisoner would.”
Forest sighed. “Thankyou.”
“As for me,” the Megalosaur continued, “my escape is coming pretty soon. You’ll see.”
“I hope you don’t kill whoever it is you’re supposed to kill,” Forest whispered.
The Megalosaur blinked, un-answering. “You should get going,” he said. “Before someone sees you. Good luck. Now shoo.”
Forest hurried to catch up to the others. After a minute of walking, he was trailing shortly behind the Prince.
Coal walked swiftly, his memory of the stronghold being put to good use.
Forest had noticed—when he first came out of the cell—that the Prince was very small. He had small set shoulders and a lean, thin body, long legs, and was at least several
claw-lengths shorter than Forest. But Forest knew—despite his small size, that he was a quick and smart prince, and he may be Emperor one day.
Prince Coal skidded to a stop at a large door, quickly checking the dark halls for any soldiers. He then took his ring of keys and pulled out the largest one, then clicked it in.
Forest and Rust slowly pushed the door open, and it mercifully let out no sound. It was pitch black inside, but Forests night vision helped a tad bit.
“We’re here. Now what are you looking for?”
“There’s green and blue sack somewhere in here, right?”
“Most likely. If you had before you were captur—“ the Terror bird fell silent, squinting into the dark room. “What is t h a t?”
Forest followed the Princes gaze, and saw a slight green glow emitting from a box in the far end of the room. His heart sped up.
“There it is!” Spark whispered.
“There is what?” Nyx asked, pushing herself forward. “Ack—what is that???”
“Shhhh,” Crimson and Rust hissed.
“Sorry,” Nyx whispered.
The five slowly entered the small room, trying their best to stay quiet. Forest was the first one there—he sighed and carefully pulled the sack out from the box. He pulled the rune out.
Prince Coal was the second to step next to him. Nyx, a few talon-steps behind, gasped quietly. The others approached as well.
“That’s—“ Coal stared at the rune, it’s light reflecting in his wide eyes. “That’s a rune—how did you get that?”
“We found it,” Forest said.
The prince looked angry and scared at the same time. “You shouldn’t have that. It needs to be kept somewhere safe.” He reached his wings forward to grab it.
“No—don’t touch it!!” Nyx cried.
But the Prince had already reached—and tried to grab it from Forest—when a tiny sizzle of lightning burst from the rune—and struck him. The Prince yowled and fell back.
“What the—“ Forest realized he had clutched the rune harder when the Prince had reached to grab it.
The lightning in his claws slowly died down and disappeared. The runes glow dimmed down slightly.
“You’ve bonded with it well,” Nyx whispered.
“I’ve what?” Forest asked.
The Prince lifted himself from the ground, shaking off his feathers. “I shouldn’t have tried to grab it from you,” he said. “Im sorry.”
Forest realized that Rust, Crimson, Spark, and Bramble were staring at him with horrified looks. He was just as shocked as they were.
“How did that happen?” Crimson
“You don’t know?” Nyx asked. “It—“
“Prince Coal?”
The carnivores turned around.
A tiny Terror bird stood in the entrance to the room—her eyes curious and confused.
“Peak,” Coal blurted. “Shouldn’t you be in the Hatchery?”
“What you doing in—“ she spotted Forest and the others next to him and let out a shuddering gasp. She took a step back, her eyes wide, her tiny, fluffy wings shaking.
“Peak, no, This isn’t what it looks like!” Coal took a step towards her.
“Monsters!” Peak whispered.
“No—“
“Monsters!” Peak turned and fled down the hall, crying loudly.
“Peak, no!” Coal jumped forward to chase after her, but Crimson reached with one talon and pulled him back. “there’s no way you’ll catch her,” Crimson hissed.
“The whole stronghold will know we’re in here,” Coal gasped.
“Then we should get out of here.” Bramble said. “Now!”

Chapter 3
- The Nazgûl
The council had gathered. They had been discussing fighting back for months now. Finally, they had an army. The war would start soon. Grant had taken the majority of the ark. Their first strike would be the desert. Everyone who wasn’t on Grant’s side was fighting. From people like Alex, who were 9, to people who were in their 60s. The next few years would mark some of the most gruesome battles of the arks. Many would die, many would become heroes. As the two armies faced each other in the desert, no one moved a muscle. Once someone fired an arrow, the battles would begin. They wanted peace as long as possible. Finally, an enemy soldier was felled. Few know who the shot came from, but they will not tell. No matter who did it, the war had begun.
Chapter 17
- The Nazgûl
About half the soldiers had made it across with the other half still on the other side. They had to get a running start and jump over the edge onto the next pillar, then to the other side of the canyon. But the men didn’t complain and did it without fear, and everyone made it. After hours of fighting, the fort in the canyon was taken. They restocked on arrows and took as much provisions as they could. Many were nervous about climbing down the cliff, the Spark said they should go through the forest until they could make it onto the shore. He had planned a rendezvous point down the shore. When they finally made it to the beach, they could see the raft coming. They cheered. The reinforcements had arrived.
Chapter 16
- The Nazgûl
“I can’t believe he wants us to climb the cliff. There’s no way everyone will make it up there alive.” Brian said. Spark was getting everyone geared up.
“I admit, it is a risky idea, but it is the best we’ve got. It beats wandering around through those swamps again to find a path up.” Chad said.
In a few minutes, everyone was ready. Spark shot a couple grappling hooks. He went first, and everyone else followed. The cable on the hooks were thin and rough. Several soldiers cut their hands pulling themselves up, but continued to climb. Chad almost fell coming up over the edge, but Spark caught him. Everyone had made it. They were at the highest point on the edge. They could simply just drop down on the enemy and shoot them from above. The first side of the canyon fell easily, but now they had to get to the other side, which was either a long jump over a mad rushing river hundreds of feet below them, or a long trek around the rest of the canyon.
