Chapter 6

- The Nazgûl

Jennifer slowly crept into her bedroom.

“Is that you?” She heard a voice. She knew it was Alex.

“Well I guess there isn’t any point in being quiet. I thought you were asleep.” Jennifer said.

“I’m not tired.” Alex said back.

“You have to be well rested for training tomorrow.”

“Who put you in charge?”

“Mom and Dad. They told I had to watch over you.”

“Where are they?”

“They had to go fight in the swamp. Don’t worry. You’ll see them again.”

“Are you sure?”

“I promise.”

They both laid there for a while. All they could hear was the wind.

“I’m gonna be the best swordsman ever.” Jennifer heard Alex say.

“Oh really?”

“And the best archer.” Alex said.

“Well, I guess we all have our goals.”

“What are you gonna be Jennifer?”

“I am going to start training as a medic. But that means you’ll be on your own at night because I will be training. Are you good with that?”

“Yup” Alex said.

They both fell asleep soon. Tomorrow was going to be a big day.
