Max stamina and movement speed for great trolling fun. Have a friend sit on the back with tranq darts and longneck. Run up to people, dart to the head, go "meep meep" and zoom away. Watch the rage in global chat and giggle.
Fighter: If you have a tribe of over 3 people, this is your mount. With the special saddle that the Gallimimus can hold, you can have 2 passengers, plus the driver. With this ability, you can have 2 people fully armed, and they don't even have to worry about moving, now talk about high DPS!
Scout: The Gallimimus is one of the fastest mounts in the game, and this allows for easy scouting and and transport
These guys are harmless and seem to hang around the swamps or near the edges of the redwood biome.
They die faster than parasaurs, but will escape much easier. Swift attacks from a carnivore or a strong headshot will take them down before they run.
We grabbed ours with our quetzal and held it for a person to shoot. We tried to tame a few from the ground with bolas and darts or clubs but they always died. We tamed 4 by holding it with a quetzal and shooting darts (arrows do to much damage) and we didn't lose a single one! On the center there are a few in the woods by blue ob, but the redwoods is covered in them. Wakes up hella fast so bring narcotics. Good luck!
Use a bola to stop it dead in its tracks, use a tranq darts with a longneck rifle and aim for the head. The headshots do way more damage. When taming this dino pay very close attention to its torpore timer. It has about a 3 and a half minutes of torpor. Use demetrodon kibble for the highest level, but crops or mejoberryies is good as well. If you want a very quick tame lookup on youtube a really cool stimberry trick (Look up Ark Stimberry Taming). This trick is good if you want a fast taming dino, but its difficult to do with this dino because of its little torpor timer.
BioToxin seems to be more effective keeping it knocked out,Just farm up jelly fish with a cross bow, if your on Scorched earth have fun sitting there with narcotics for a while being paranoid about the boulders getting up to smash you.
