The Dodo God

Ch. 2

The dodo landed in the rapids and struggled to keep his head over the surface.he flapped and flapped, but little Salkan’s wings were useless, and he felt his stamina draining. He knew that squawking would do no good down here, so he saved his breath. As he thrashed, he slapped a sabertooth salmon, and the masses came. As he continued down the river, he began to beep the salmon getting closer. He needed to get to land.

“Land!” Salkan squawked in his dodo tongue. “Where am I going to find that here?!” He began to realize that this had to end somewhere. This would probably empty out into the ocean!
