What is a diplocaulus used for? diplocaulus battling strategies in ARK: Survival Evolved.
If you want to imprint remember they can't get out of water, so to bypass the take oxygen option you can cryo it or use DS to reset what it wants. You will ask it to follow you (always underwater) a couple dozens of meters and cryo it again ultil it gets the +imprint from "wants to go on a walk with you" since that one doesn't require any interaction other than a whistle. I use a baryonyx to clear the place I'm in, set it to aggressive, to follow me, and objective distance=long.
If they are SWIMMING you can ride them. Use this to get black pearls from trilobites and lobsters but watch out because everything that aggro on humans will aggro on it so watch out Also if riding on mobile you have infinite air. This dude is how I obtained enough black pearls to tame that tuso that got stuck in rocks
Found mostly in swamps,
How to be able to tame these things
1. If a beginner or don’t know how to shoot, get about 10 narco arrows, if you do only make 1-2.
2. Shoot it.
3. Once knocked out, feed it MEAT
4. Have fun exploring the ocean waters!
Good stuff about it is that you get to get infinity air in water, they are good for getting oil, chitin and pearls, and they can outspeed a megalodon in water!
Bad thing is that they die easily
An offer overlooked tame. While yes, there are better tames, if you’re an earlygame or begennier, this is a pretty good dino to travel into the sea. It can also get black pearls from trilobites really well. Oh and did I mention you can take oxygen from them if you’re drowning? Again, very overlooked and underrated tame.
Level oxygen, movement speed and health, tame a higher level so you don't have to pump most of your levels into health, at first it may look like you can't ride it because it doesn't have the option or of the water, but once you get in the water, you can suck oxygen out of it so if your playing on primitive plus or don't have scuba yet it's very good
