Tips & Strategies
This is exactly how I tamed the deino being a new ish player : used a ptero and Lured 2 deinos towards me (they aggro on almost anything that breathes with ended up one of them chasing a icthyornis far away) then hover above it waiting for it to start basking. When it open it's mouth, walk towards it feed your taming food and get the hell away. Repeat till u have a lil croccy boi :)
More Deinosuchus [MOD] Taming & KO Tips
Wait for it to lay down and open its mouth. Walk up to its mouth and feed it with meat. (I havenโt tested the kibble it likes yet but I assume itโs extraordinary) when you feed it, it will snap its jaws shut before getting back up, giving you a few seconds to back away.
I recommend bringing a ghillie suit and cactus broth if you can.
I forgot to write this in my last tip, remember to crouch when sneaking up. - RUGER5264
They tame off of superior kibble
Make sure to run like hell the moment you feed it. Wear ghillie and give it superior kibble
Taming these actually isn't too hard if you know the method. I personally had the assistance of a Tropical Crystal Wyvern, though. Quick heads up: They WILL attack Crystal Wyverns on their own, and likely many other fliers (eg Argentavis, Maewing, Pteranodon.) This tip also includes controls, if you have the default ones.
Wear Ghillie, and find your croc. They're bigger than a Sarco and their head shape is different. Have your taming food (I used mutton, I don't remember which kibble they like) in your last item slot. When it lays down with it's mouth open, sneak up to it's head and feed it. You'll know its been fed if it's mouth closes abruptly. Then, RUN, preferably back to a flier. It has a short animation/roar after being fed which gives you time to run. Repeat until tamed.
It doesn't need an interval or to have it's food drain, it can be fed every time it lays down with it's mouth open. Please don't try fight them in the wild! A 135 did over 700 damage and a nasty bleed to my Wyvern with it's Giga-bite. Just avoid them, unless taming.
Controls (PC)
Left click: Normal melee
Right click (hold and release:) Giga-bite
C: Tailwhip. Stuns things and knocks them back.
Space: Seems to be turn on the spot in the direction the camera is facing.
Left control: Roar, no special effect.
With their left click, they can turn immediately like a Sarco.
Once you find one, get it trapped where it can't see other dinos. Very aggro to everything else.
Once trapped, put on full ghillie. Put superior kibble (or meat of some kind) in last hotbar slot. Wait for it to bask (mouth wide open, not moving). Then walk up to sides of its mouth and look towards its neck. Feed then back off a bit. It will aggro to you after every feed. Wants feed basically right away when it basks again.

I would recommend only using superior kibble to tame one because prime and mutton donโt give much percent even for low levels. I would suggest getting around 10 kibble for a high level and just get it away from anything because these guys attack everything. After that use some gillie and wait until the gator opens his mouth and approach it near the neck, and feed the kibble. After you feed back away and watch it walk around until it lays down again. The great thing is these guys wonโt loose there taming progress or effectiveness if they agro to you. Repeat these steps and you will have yourself one of the greatest all rounded dinoโs on the island!
How to tame a Deinosuchus:
Find one (Beaches, Rivers, Swamps, I found mine on the beach in the southeast corner)
If it is in water, lure it out by aggroing it onto you) repeat this every time it goes into water
Wait until it opens itโs jaw, run up to it with kibble or meat and press โEโ to put it in its jaw. Instantly after pressing E, turn and run away, since itโs jaw will slam shut and it wakes up. Repeat this process until itโs tamed.
Leftclick: Regular Bite
Rightclick (Hold until 100% charged): Giga Bite, deals A TON of damage and has a short cooldown
C: Tail swing deals A TON of knockback
Hold Space: Makes it turn into the direction you are looking at
Good Luck
Tried quetz pick up and had no luck.
