The Sea Of Despair
Chapter eight
The group hopped onto Sparks back, and he flew into the air, however, they were unaware of a hidden beast in the cave. A sand drake, perfectly camouflaged against the cave wall dropped to the floor, and leapt up to grab Sparks tail, and rip its end off with its teeth. Spark screamed in pain, and slammed his body against the cave wall to knock the sand drake off his tail, nearly knocking Sarah, Aidan, Kalmar and Lamakar off of his back.
“It’s a sand drake!” Sarah yelled, clearly scared.
“What the hell is a sand drake!?” Aidan asked.
“Really nasty thing that lives in caves!” Kalmar answered. Suddenly, the sand drake slashed at Lamakar with its claws, cutting open his back, Lamakar screamed in pain as he fell backwards, plummeting towards the floor at top speed.

The Sea Of Despair
Chapter one
Spark landed with a thud in the sand, Sarah patted the wyverns head before hopping off, followed by Aidan, Kalmar and Lamakar.
“Is this it?” Aidan asked, looking at the partially ruined town.
“ yes” Sarah replied, “this is manticore town”
“Right then!” Kalmar exclaimed, eyeing the horizon, the storm was closing in fast “where’s that gladiator?”
“Are you blind?” Lamakar shouted, “it’s right there!”
Then suddenly, as Lamakar pointed to the gladiator, there was the sound of thunder, and lightning struck just about forty metres away, frightening the group. Then, a creature appeared, with a hunched back, long arms, and bony hands, stained with blood...
I was exploring the death sands with my raptor pack the levels of them were 7-56 and I came across a death worm and made it a target I then ran for my life on my level 56 raptor while my friend rid on the second highest level one and chomped on the deathworm it eventually fell and we got the loot and had deathworm for dinner at camp. One of my best moments in ark.
The Sea Of Despair
Chapter six
The group were deep into the tunnels by now, they’d gone through so many turns that they didn’t even know the way back, the tunnels were only just big enough for Spark, and they knew they had to get out soon. As they continued onwards, the tunnels got wider, and Spark had more space to move around, and eventually they reached a huge cavern, with a small opening in the ceiling, letting light through to shine on the floor.
“Wow, this is... nice” Kalmar said, looking around the cavern.
“Yeah, it is” Lamakar agreed.
“Wait,” Sarah exclaimed, “there’s a hole in the ceiling, if we could fly up there on Sparks back, then he could blast through the ceiling, and we could get out of here.”
“Sounds like a plan” Aidan said, “let’s do it”
The Sea Of Despair
Chapter four (the chapter three about them going into the tunnels is actually chapter four)
Outside, the storm was tearing up the desert, throwing sand everywhere and causing the already damaged buildings to break and collapse, the walls of the gladiator were struck with lightning, causing them to crumble. In the middle of the storm lay the desert ghouls corpse, sand quickly burying it, suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck its corpse, blowing the sand aside and reanimating the corpse (i know this probably wouldn’t happen in real life). The desert ghoul scrambled to its feet, snarling as the storm continued around it. It looked up to the sky, and screeched angrily, grabbing the arrow in its throat and pulling it out, before turning to the gladiator, and walking towards it.
The Sea Of Despair
Chapter two
The creature moved forward, snarling and hissing,
“Stay back!!” Sarah shouted at the creature, but it ignored her and continued towards them.
“Dang it! Why isn’t it stopping!” She shouted. Aidan got out his crossbow, loaded an arrow and took aim, pointing the weapon directly at its head, he then loaded another arrow, and got ready to shoot.
“What is it?” Kalmar asked,
“It’s the Desert Ghoul, a ferocious hunter that won’t stop till its killed everything in its vicinity” Sarah said.
“Oh well, it sounds nice, but it won’t be doing that anymore!” Aidan shouted as he prepared to fire the arrow. The creature began to hiss, and then screeched, opening its mouth wide just at the same moment that Aidan fired an arrow at its head...
The Sea Of Despair
Chapter three
“Where’s the entrance!?” Aidan shouted, clearly panicking.
“There it is!” Lamakar shouted, pointing to a crack in the gladiator wall.
“It’s not big enough dummy!” Kalmar shouted, and Lamakar looked down, clearly not happy.
“Wait...” Aidan said, “can’t Spark just blast the wall down?”
“Yes! He can, your a genius Aidan,” Sarah exclaimed, and Aidan smiled. Sarah walked up to spark, and patted him on the back, Spark opened his mouth, and electricity started to crackle from his mouth, then, he let out a blast of lightning at the wall, creating a hole big enough for all of them to fit through.
“Good job Spark, let’s get in there.”
The team easily got to the hole in the ground, they still had to use Spark to blast lightning at the hole so he could get through though. Once they were in, all they had to do was wait for the storm to reach them, and then pass. In that time, they started to explore the tunnels, finding mysterious paintings on the walls, and running into an annoying amount of mantis’, but Spark handled them easily, eventually, the storm reached them, and they were great full that they were inside, but they would soon wish they brought the Desert Ghouls corpse in with them...

The Sea Of Despair
Epilogue
A small crystal shone in the wyvern trench, glowing brightly, suddenly, it shattered, and huge green spikes burst out of where the Crystal was, green liquid suddenly began to appear out of the ground and a glowing portal opened, sucking air in. A light began to shine from the portal, and soon whatever was on the other side of it became visible: huge, underground mushroom forests filled with strange creatures...
The Sea Of Despair
Chapter three
The arrow flew towards the Desert Ghouls mouth, and then struck, hitting the back of its throat, and causing it to choke and spit out blood, it fell to the ground, blood dripping from its mouth... and then it died. Sarah’s eyes widened,
“How is this possible?!” She yelled “nobody has ever managed it before.”
“The answer is simple, I’m a good hunter,” Aidan said as he put away his crossbow.
“Ummmm, guys, the storms approaching, and quickly. I think we should get to the gladiator soon.” Lamakar said, gesturing to the storm, and then to the gladiator.
“I agree, if we don’t leave now, we’ll be killed by the storm” Aidan said.
“Yes, let’s get there, now!” Kalmar yelled. The team ran through the desert towards the town, when they got there, they were faced with arthropleaura, mantis’ and many other creatures, along with vultures in the air. The creatures however, were more bothered about seeking shelter in the ruined houses, and so did Spark. They ran to the gladiator, Spark in hot pursuit, and eventually, they got there, but there was no way in...
