Taming & KO Tips
How do I tame a thylacoleo? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a thylacoleo.
You don’t find thyla, thyla finds you
I was upset the app doesn't have it listed in Fjördur, but Thylas are actually on the map. Let's try to get it updated!
They prefer cooked meat over raw. Don't waste your precious raw mutton, better cook it, as it tames faster and with higher efficiency.
Set a parasaur on turret mode and fly over redwoods carrying it with a flyer. Any of these things will get marked.
Today I was in the Redwoods in asa with a Megatherium. Turns out Thylas don't attack when you ride them. Easy Lv 150 tame.
Rip cole the thylacoleo u live god life 🙏 💔
Rip cole😢😢 A great Thyla who deserved better
Rip Cole we thank thee for your service…🥺😔
Fly around on an argie while holding a parasaur on turret mode, the parasaur will sense it but make sure the thylacoleo can't reach you by flying high above so it hits the parasaur rather than you.
How To Tame A Thylacoleo:
1. Make a bear trap and crossbow with tranq arrows or a longneck with tranq darts
2. Go into the Redwoods on any map, DO NOT fly on anything because the Thylacoleo can jump out of trees and take out your flyer, on Scorched Earth it spawns pretty close to the Wyvern Trench, so be careful
3. Look for a decent Thyla, I’d recommend 145-150 you can usually find them chasing a Gallimimus
4. Place down a bear trap and lure the Thyla into the trap
5. Repeatedly shoot it in the head with whatever you’re using to knock it out
6. Once it’s knocked out, place COOKED meat in its inventory, it’s the only creature that prefers cooked meat over raw. You can also use Extraordinary kibble, which is produced by Magmasaur, Yutyrannus, Deinonychus, Rock Drake, Wyverns and Hespornis(golden egg)
7. Name your new Thylacoleo! It provides a bleeding effect to any wild creature, it can also climb vertical surfaces and pounce on creatures, it’s one of the best cave clearers out there!

Go faster than sonic and keemstar if you encounter one in the wild they will chop you apart if they get their hands on you
How I tamed two of these bad boys (actually one after another: one female and one male) is that I just encountered them running after some prey, got on high ground with an argentavis and shot one with tranq darts and tranq arrows; it went quickly unconscious but its torpor was draining pretty fast so I had to feed it narcotics (around 30 for an 8 lvl) or even bio toxin; the taming process was stupidly long for both of them, I used a lot of raw prime meat and regular raw meat but apparently they prefer cooked meat from what I've heard?
As I'm writing this, Thylacoleos are probably my favorite tames because of their versatility. I tried to somehow climb a huge redwood tree once I rode this beast and oh boy, it works so good.
Been trying to tame a level 7 Thylaceleo with exceptional Kibble and an Elixir and it refuses to tame. It barely even gets to 50% after eating three Exeptional Kibbles. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, I just want a tree kitty
Stop parasuar abuse they don't deserve to be bait for taming creatures #stop parasuar abuse
To easily find one in the redwoods, set your graphics quality to low. It's easier to spot them as they do not blend with the trees
These can be found in the redwood area and the easiest way to tame them is picking them up with a quetz and then dropping them in a trap made out of 4 behemoth gates
It's actually a marsupial. That's very mean. And dangerous. And oh shiz run.
some really nice guy on a fire wyvern was at the area where I was about to try and get a thyla and I said “don’t murder me I’m tryna tame a thyla”
he then flew off and I went to try and find a thyla when he flew back to my raft and dropped a level 50 thyla right into my boat trap
U need a lot of narcotics to keep unconscious be aware
Easiest way to tame: make a dino pen, pick one up with an argy, put it in the dino pen then follow along with a basic taming process (knock it out, feed it). Make sure you have lots of narcotics on you!
Best thing about them: they can climb up really steep hills and they can potentially do lots of damage and can be fast.
Where to find: most commonly found on trees (they will be hanging upside down, high up on large trees) in the redwood forest areas (mainly on The Center) or I find lots of them in the Ragnorok desert.
Very good tame! They're like pet tigers.
