Stories Tips
What are some stories about the otter? Memorable otter stories, wild encounters, and fan fiction.
I’ve been searching for an otter of my own for 3 in game days. I finally find one and bring it home to trap in a small container. I feed it salmon 75% tamed, I go in the water for another fish, a piranha this time. I come back to the trap where the otter was and it had despawned :’) now I have to search for another one
I had started a game on Valguero rather recently and I had been looking for an otter. They didn't spawn near me, though, and I didn't have any fliers on me to go hunting for one. So I was baffled when a 140 otter turned up and was wandering around. Of course, I immediately wanted to tame it, so I began hunting down fish with my spears and died a handful of times, and eventually I get the guy to around 95% or so. I go and kill my last fish, and it's gone. It swam off into the lake, never to be seen again.
Or so I thought, because after multiple more hours of playtime my parasaur senses an enemy nearby. Now, being a pretty inexperienced player I lived in a very safe area where nothing dangerous ever spawned, and the most that would spawn were ichthyornis. So I check it out.
Lo and behold, the 140 otter returned, still waiting for its final fish. So I drop it in a small little pen, worried it might run off again, and go and kill a salmon for it. After struggling to feed it the fish, I had finally tamed it. After waiting so, so long to find an otter, the otter had come to me.
And then while I was trying to grab something I accidentally threw the otter into a lake where it was killed by piranhas in a matter of moments.
Needless to say, I was a little disappointed in myself for doing that. And now I need to find a new otter.
I tamed an otter called Eta by picking it up with my Pt and dropping it into my house, I decided to visit the arctic to discover the skylord cave since I was now insulated. We beat Kairukus and killed rexes together for levels, we found explorer notes, we completed pursuits (I was on mobile). But then stupid me decides to run the skylord cave, it was going fine until I got up the the death drop part, I placed a thatch foundation, to allow me to reach the other side easier, but then I made the biggest mistake.
I left Ark to do a backup save in case I couldn’t make the jump, and guess what, since I haven’t played in a while, I completely forgot shoulder pets drop from your shoulder when you leave the game. When I logged back on, Eta fell to her death before I could to anything. I tried loading back into the save again, but Eta was dismounted from my shoulder before I could even load in completely, all I could do is see her body on the instakill ice spikes, rest in peace Eta ;(
I had an otter called Hairy Otter. He held all of my artifacts and was very good. Then one day I tried to throw him off my shoulders, and nothing happened. I must have thrown him off without knowing it! He had all my artifacts on him and he was a very good otter. (115 perfect tame) I am on console so I can’t request him. 1 like = 1 prayer that I find him.
It all began when I noticed a small little river creature I'd never before encountered. My confusion turned to pure delight however as I came to realize that I was standing before ark's arguably most adorable creature: the otter. Eager to take the little fellow in, I noticed how she playfully darted between the megapirhannas. Fast forward to countless adventures later, and Olive the Otter had quickly become my right-hand (wo)man, and this next adventure was certainly no exception. Little Olive was snugly wrapped around my neck like always, providing invaluable protection from the cold as myself and my ptero Buddy sailed into the arctic to tame a dire wolf. We were sailing on top of the world, singling out the perfect candidate when all of a sudden our rock got swarmed; suddenly my world came crashing down and the last thing I managed to do was whistle passive hoping my two most faithful tames could at least escape, but alas only Buddy made it. Defending me til the end, RIP Little Olive
Just the other day, I was in a cave with my trusty Megatherium and Pax, my otter who was keeping me warm. I made it to almost the end of the cave, the part where you have to grapple to the wall. It was too tight for my Megatherium, so I left him at the shoreline of the lake. I grappled your and heard snakes hissing and that disgusting Arthropleura noise. I loaded my shotgun and jumped off of the cliff face. I jumped a little to far because I had two snakes and a centipede hot on my trail. I rapidly fired bullets from the shotty but my armor was broken and my torpor was rising. I eventually fell unconscious. I’d only managed to kill one of the snakes, meaning Pax and I were in danger. I was 99% sure I would die, especially when I head Pax fighting the remaining snake. Then the notification appeared on my screen; Pax had killed the snake! I stil heard the clicking noice of the arthro, but I had enough time to wake up before it scrambled off of the edge of the cliff that Pax almost pushed it off. A couple bullets to the head and it was finished. I got Pax and carried down the trail, watching for any threats, but we were all alone in the chamber. I ended up getting the artifact and carrying home a little bit of knowledge with it; NEVER underestimate an otter!
Here is a story. Soooo my sever at the time was in a brutal civil war. The Alfa tribe was losing control and I was stuck in the crossfire. All I had was a stupid tribe and a stone base so I wanted a pet. I found an otter- tames it- named it Bobby- and we fell in love. Later that week my tribe entered the war on the side of the Alfa’s and soon we fought battle after battle. My otter was with me at all times. BUT one day I was on an patrol mission and I brought Bobby with me. I was ambushed by enemy troops. I was nocked out and my otter fought bravely but then he fell. My poor little otter 😭😭😭
-pray for Bobby
[life of small ott 1# the beginning]
When little ott finaly opened his eyes, he coudnt beleave what he saw. It was a small river, filled with salmon, ceolocanth, but no dangerouse piranhas or other creaturs. He looked around, and he saw big tall things sourounding them. The bipeds call them walls, and use them to contain things or keep them safe. Apparently, he was lucky enough to be born in an otter sanctuary. The water was crystal clear, filled with hundreds of fish, with Little Rocks evrywere for the newborns to cross. He wanted to explore, until, suddenly, he felt jaws of a carnivore, much bigger then him, grab his neck. He thought he was about to die, but it was just his mother. As she pulled him into the den, (the bipeds call the mother Masha) other otters sourounded him curiously with their eyes open wide. “I think I’m going to name you… Fluffy.” Said Masha. Masha then layed down, and tiny hairless creatures came over to Masha and began to nurse. Since Fluffy just opened his eyes, he still depended on milk, so he be an to nurse too. After they were full, they fell asleep curled up nussed into their mother. (Plz like! I spent so much time on this, and I will make another on Tuesday! I made this on 8/30/2021! I hope you like it!)
One day, I was walking around on my giga, with my otter Oyster on my shoulder, and we walked over a small pond. Than, I saw a Death message at the bottom of my screen:
Your Gigabyte (Giganotosaurus) killed an otter lvl 25!
The game crashed as the sound of otter laughter filled my headphones
Moral of the story: don't mess with otters
So once me and my sister were playing and we decided to tame an otter so I went on my sarco and she went on our parasaur so we where near a swamp and we saw a frog and we decided to tame it and named it hops then we find one but hops died to like fifty titanaboas and we did it for my new favourite

Ollie looked around, not finding any fish. There was no way out of this deep lake, at least, not that he knew of. Pteranodon by pteranodon went swooping by above. Ollie tried to wave his long tail and wave his arms and legs by floating on his back. But it was no use. He sunk into the water until. . . Pls up this for chapter two
