The gigantopithicus packed up their stuff and the group headed back to the oasis. on the way They found Bones, when Caesar asked if he was alright he nodded and said somewhat angrily; “I’ll be fine, just need to bust some heads.” When they reached the oasis the desert creatures were hard at work filling large buckets with water and fixing them to catapults, “so those are war buckets.” Jaxz said. “Yup! They spray water everywhere refreshing our troops and weakening the magmasaurs, pretty nifty if I do say so myself!” The jerboa said excitedly. “Who invented them?” Caesar asked. “The last human, we call him “‘the wanderer’” he built them so we could defend ourselves from the magmasaurs.” The jerboa replied. “How did a human teach you how to use them? Don’t they speak gibberish?” Jaxz asked. “It took a wile but we learned.” The jerboa replied. “Why do the magmasaurs hate everyone and why are the humans extinct except the wanderer on this ark?” Caesar asked. “The humans went extinct because of the magmasaurs, and I don’t know why they hate everyone, all they ever say is “‘DIE, DESTURBERS”’ ” she said. Then they heard a horrible sound it was like a shriek mixed with metal scraping on metal. “They’re here!” The hyenadon yelled from the other side of the oasis. “Everyone grab a bucket!” The jerboa said. “Remember! If we cool them enough they’re as good as statues!” The hyenadon said. Caesar and the gigantopithicus all grabbed buckets and filled them Jaxz got two and filled them and Bones picked up one of the larger ones meant for the catapults in his mouth. “What is that..” a vulture said gesturing to Bones. “Better question, What is that.” A lymantera replied pointing to Jaxz. “That’s a frog, and a badger im a mesopithicus and those guys over there are lemurs.” Caesar replied. “Huh never saw any of those before.” The vulture said. “So… I see you made it in one peice..”the vulture they met earlier said to Caesar. “Ya no thanks to you, you could’ve said something about the FASOLASUCHUS!” Caesar said. “Oh did I forget to mention that” the vulture (was his name jeffff?) replied with a chuckle. Caesar glared at him and ran over to the others.
The cave was about five bones lengths across in both directions and was more-or-less circular The oasis was in the center and went near the right bottom corner of the cave, the entrance the group came from was at the left bottom corner the north side had many medium sized gaps in it, that is where the magmasaurs were getting in. The first battalion of magmasaurs rushed in almost immediately getting hit by gallons of water from the war buckets and getting cooled into statues, but more seeped in Jaxz bombarded them from above and Bones shoveled large amounts of water out of the oasis and was soaking the magmasaurs, the other desert creatures along with the apes did what they could but it took time to fill the buckets so some resorted to holding the line in claw to claw combat. The room was littered with cooled magmasaurs and bodies, but they wouldn’t stop coming. “Everyone get in the oasis! We’ll hold our ground there!” The hyenadon commanded. The creatures stopped fighting and ran into the shallow water, this was a good tactic because the magmasaurs wouldn’t dare getting any closer and they could fill the buckets faster the new issue wa story couldn’t use the war buckets anymore, and the magmasaurs could still shoot fireballs at the creatures, There were just too many, the battle was lost. Then they heard another metallic shriek, and teh magmasaurs stopped. A large magmasaur strolled into the cave, her stone body was guilded with gold and jewels and her lava was brighter than the other magmasaurs. “You are beaten desturbers.. submit or perish.” She said. “Why do you attack these people what did they do to you!” Caesar said. “W h o. S a i d. T h a t..” she said threateningly. “I did. Answer the question you glorified volcano!” Caesar said. “What are you doing!” The hyenadon said in a harsh whisper. Caesar stepped into view of the magmasaur, “HAH a puny human dares defy me! The magmasaur matriarch! You must be a fool, don’t you know I ended your kind. As I will all desturbers..” she said. “I’m no human.” Caesar said. The Queen looked at him angrily “that w h a t. are y o u.”

Requirements: 5,000 hp baryonyx, with 500% melee, and melee weapons and ranged weapons.
Dangers: Cold water, cold temperatures, caves tend to be more sensitive to temperature changes, for example dropping temperatures outside will affect the cave temperatures.
Animal dangers: dung beetles are aggressive when hit and will stop at nothing to attack you if you accidentally hit them, onyc aggressive as always, it is common to find arthopleuras in this cave, it is even more common than the lower south cave. There are also araneos, titanboas, pulmonscorpious, and meglasaurus. English, snake, spiders, bats, and scorpions are extremely common. Meglasaurus, centipedes, beetles, and pihranas are common. They are simply just not as common. Pihranas do damage that can be heavy when you have low health and armor, bring decent armor and level up health so that you don’t worry about this. Snakes and scorpion are overwhelming creatures as there are many of them, use the recommended stats on you bary and you will kill them effortlessly. Bats are similar but they fly in circles making it hard to hit them, just tap really fast even if you are not hitting, just be careful not to hold or that will dismount you. Bringing a ranged weapon can help with both bats and centipedes, centipedes get less damage for melee weapons, But for ranged they get increased. Meglasaurus wake up at night so be careful as they are more powerful at night and if on a small mount they-can pick you or your mount up.
Notes: This applies for ark mobile players, mega rabies is not on ark mobile and neither are megalanias. The stats recomended and you bary are most achievable and work best on max level 150 servers.
As for the cave layout,I recommend that you stick to the left and occasionally go on your right. There is a strip of land in between water, that is where the artifact is, it is only a line so don’t fall or the pihranas will get you and it will be hard to get out of the water.
Loot: loot crates exist, they spawn a in a hard to identify place as they can spawn randomly in different places. The loot quality is yellow and there is 4 dossiers here so collect them all if you would like. From what I remeber it is the araneo near the explorer note, the megladon near the entracnce, and close to it triceratops, I forgot the fourth one. The tribute loot is considered trash as it is 10x soothing balm, chitin armor made or blueprint, and grappling hooks, from what I know.
There is more loot but I have only ran this cave twice as it is boring and hard because I don’t live super close to that cave. I found a bug where if you have lets say an argy, anky, or a tapejara up there because you were taming something or mining metal which both where my cases, taming a sabertooth and mining metal, they will appear near the cave entrance. For example argy and other flyers close to the entrance, and anky right next to it on the side or in front of it. Make sure you have them on neutral, max level allo and his goofy pack were attacking my tames that were on passive, bleed damage got to my quetzal, and it had 8 k health but it went down to 1k, this is with a ascendant saddle 89 armor. I recomend you run this cave twice, first for the explorer note and artifact to tribute, as this is the third least hardest, but it gives good exp, more than lower south and lava cave. The second run is for missed explorer note if you had any an to put the artifact on the pedestal. Baryonyx are supposed to be carried by meglasaurus but they aren’t. I fought four and none of them did so.
James and Tom back at the castle were practicing fighting with swords. James blocked Tom’s sword with his own then stuck out his leg, tripping Tom. James stood over Tom about to tap him with his sword when a face flashed in his mind. A girl with glowing hazel eyes and long rolling curls of brownish-red hair. A pretty smile played on her mouth. James blinked and he was on the floor. Tom was looming over him. Tom tapped James gently with his sword. “Point.” Tom said. James got to his feet. “Let’s be done for today.” James said, sighing. Tom raised his eyebrow. “Are you okay James? Listen James I know you love her.” Tom said. James opened his mouth to retort but Tom held up his hand. “No. If you love her that much..go tell her. I’ve seen her with Cole. She doesn’t seem happy with him. Not as happy as she is with you.” Tom said. “Do you really think so?” James asked. Tom nodded. “Yes, yes I do. Now, let me try to convince mom and dad to let us…visit Riverbend city one last time. Besides…I need to ask Leah something.”
Arianna sat her in her room that night, unable o go asleep. She just couldn’t get James off her mind. Everywhere she went he was always in her thoughts. Luckily Cole hadn’t stopped by. Arianna shivered. She liked Cole…as a friend but nothing more. Outside a dog began to bark. “Probably a wild dog.” Arianna thought. The dog continued barking. Then something hit the brick wall beside her window. Then something else hit the wall. Arianna ran to the window and looked out. A figure stood below her window. Arianna pulled the window up. “Hello?” She called. The man smiled up at her. “Arianna?” The man called. Arianna almost leapt from the window. “James!” She exclaimed happily. James smiled up at her. “Well? Don’t just leave me out in the cold. I didn’t come out here for nothing.” Arianna grabbed James’ jacket and hurried quietly out the back door where James was waiting. She ran into his arms. Arianna felt him embrace her gently. Tears of joy dripped down her face. “James. I didn’t think I’d see you ever again.” She said. James grinned. “Well, we convinced our parents to let us visit one last time. After all…there was a really special girl I met.” James said. Arianna smiled. “Oh James. I love you.” Then they kissed. A kiss full of love and joy. Until finally they broke apart. James led her to a bench in the garden and they sat down at it. “Before we..do anything Arianna there’s something I need to tell you.” James said. Arianna nodded, her heart racing with excitement. “My family is no ordinary family. My father and mother are king and queen of a secret kingdom called the Shadow phoenixes. Me and my brother Tom will be the next rulers, since we’re twins. Our medallions are made from elements and every child gets one, which gives them powers to protect yourself. Arianna, if you marry me you would be queen. Are you wanting to do that?” James asked. Arianna stared at him in shock for a second then smiled. “James, I did not fall in love with a king over some childish whim, I fell in love with a man with a heart the size of Africa and the kindest man I’ve ever met.” Arianna said. “And I fell in love with a beautiful woman who loves people with all her heart and with eyes deeper than the seas.” James said. He sank to one knee. “Arianna Black, will you marry me. I’m not the best man in the world but…I don’t think I could live without you.” James said. “And I couldn’t live a day without you either. Yes!” James sprang to his feet excitedly and spun Arianna around in the air. Then they kissed again.
They spent a while together until finally James walked her to the back door. “What is your power anyway? Charming young women?” Arianna teased. “No. I can control shadows. Watch. ” James said. His medallion began to glow and suddenly Arianna’s shadow spun from behind her and James’ shadow caught her. Then Arianna’s shadow appeared back behind her. “Wow. That’s cool.” Arianna said. James shrugged. “Kind of.”
“What is it?” Arianna asked. James sighed. “The bad part of being in the shadow phoenixs family is that…our medallions keep us alive. So basically I’m chained to this body for a long time. We can live a long, long time and cause other people we love to live a long time but…if I were to die…” James shuddered. “…I’m afraid of that happening.” James said. Arianna put her hand on his cheek. “It’s okay James. You won’t have to go through that.”
