Many a tribe have been foolish enough to think they could fight a wild giga with a tamed and ended up with a dead giga. Don't be them.

The 100% chance of death with the Pachy's charge isn't talking about the Giga dying… it's about the Pachy.

Tips for taming gigas: if you encounter a giga in the wild while with a tribe mate, simply bola the tribe mate and run.
