What is a rock elemental used for? rock elemental battling strategies in ARK: Survival Evolved.
Rock golems take no damage from elemental attacks, lava and take a 50% damage reduction from bites without a saddle, making them perfect wyvern killers. They also can’t be grabbed by tusos, and have no oxygen tank so they’re good squid killers, just bear in mind they can’t swim up so you’re probably not gonna be able to get your golem back.
Use them to soak base turrets.
Bring a snow owl or deodon with you so u can heal it.
It can also be used as a stone throwing turret, allways have it on turret mode on aggressive when finished soaking or defending your base.
It's not the best but it's solid and hard to kill, just have a few velos next to it to make sure no one flak-beer-run it with c4, have an auto or heavie aswell to shoot down any incoming rockets.
Takes 10% from everything but explosives and does not take damage from elemental attacks like fire, poison, lightning. A tamed level one rock elemtal has 3000 health a wild one has 20000. So if your enemy does not posses explosives, mek modules, cannons then your rock elemental technically has 30000 health plus the Armour on the saddle. So a tamed rock elemental has proven to be more powerful in combat then a tamed giga I dont know too much about damage .
I’m not sure if I’m misunderstanding or what but at least in my experience they Rock Golem does not collect flint or metal from rock and metal nodes. This was disappointing to me. On the other hand they are still good because they can dual harvest both wood and stone unlike the doed. Though I would prefer if they had the weight bonus which they do not
All non blunt force/ explosive damage is reduced to half. To add to that, with a primitive saddle, all damage is reduced so it takes about 30% damage. Always have it disguised as a rock around your base. It works better than a vault in several different situations. (For ALL smaller bases)
