Taming & KO Tips
How do I tame a morellatops? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a morellatops.
They are such good tame to start the game with and they hold lots of water. They are also easy to use and are really easy to tame
If you find yourself against a herd of these, just keep backing up and using your boomerangs, trans arrows, and slingshots. Both the primary and secondary attacks have a delay before they actually deal damage, and they have to stop moving first, so if you keep backpedaling they won't be able to hit you.
Put 60 or so into a 150s head, still not out, but im out of arrows
Typically they will run directly the way you are facing when you attack them. You can use that to your advantage by running it into rocks or a mountain side. Be careful if taking on a group! They are faster then they look by far. They have a good topar timer so dropping multiple at once and taming thdm all is not too difficult.
Only creature that I know of that can drink. I thought u just could use cactus sap for water but one day I dismounted mine in shallow water and she drank like a thirsty camel. I have two and I take them everywhere now.
These are the best beginner tame if you are ever thirst tame one camel and keep it by you. These guys don’t attack when they’re alone. And only when there is another one by it’s side .So find a lone Camel and your golden

As opposed to what their appearance may lead you to believe… These guys are actually incredibly fast, able to even keep ahead of a Raptor when sprinting, and since they are so big they are also immune to bolas and as such you will have to try trapping them using terrain or built structures. Alternatively you can use a Lymantria’s spore cloud to slow them down temporarily.
To tame it just boomerang it by throwing. Tamed a lvl 2 and 7 this way at low lvl. Just find a lone one and then aim for the head first. As it’s running boom it some more. If u see another morell but it’s kinda far I found that the paras danger Since wave is a good Indication if it’s far enough or not.
Eat lots of cactus... generates water an you won't have to risk going to a water vain or river to regain water.
Don't try to trap it with gates. I trapped one with 3 adobe dinosaur gates in a triangle shape and he rose upwards, phased through the ceilings I put down, and escaped.
If you come across a low level Morrelatops on its own, you can easily down it using roughly 10 arrows, no misses. If you do miss, it's okay, if the area is rocky enough and you're fast, you can punch it when it gets stuck.
They will sometimes attack back but will 100% attack when in a pack
In my opinion best way to farm cactus-sap if u are in these little cactus fields and u make the main attack u get over 1000 in sec
You should tame a lone morellatops, instead of a morellatops in a group because they will attack when in a group

They can not go through normal dino gateways sooo you could try to surround it in gateways or punch it into a trap
I tamed the moralltops for my first tame I highly recommend this tame
I think you should use "tranq" for the knock out creatures version of tame.
In order
1. Longbow
2. Tranq
3. Club
4. Yuttyrannus
5. Tsuiceratops
In scorched earth these are the perfect games for traveling early game.
Use bow while walking backwards away from it. Keep hitting it with tranq arrows. While your backing up you won't get hit, because it has to stop moving to attack. Just be aware of your surroundings.
