Utility Tips
What is a lystrosaurus used for? lystrosaurus battling strategies in ARK: Survival Evolved.
This is a passive tame. Like all passive tames, you must equip the item it requests in your hot bar and tap it to feed the item to the dinosaur. Once tamed, this dinosaur provides a 35% experience boost to your dinosaurs that are near it every 5 minutes when you use the social action to pet it. This is very beneficial and is suggested.
Utility Roles for Lystro:
1. XP Farm. Probably what these little guys are most famous for. Unfortunately I do not know if having multiple will stack the XP boost or not.
2. Pet. I adore these little guys because I think they are very cute. I love keeping them at my base because of their cuteness. (level Health and watch for those damn seagulls if you are close to the coast).
3. Kibble Maker. Their eggs can be used for Basic Kibble. Not the best, but that's something!
My name is ShinyChimchar01 and if you like this tip, I've done similar on Trike, Raptor, Parasaur, and Carbonemys. The next one will be on Moschops!
Lystrosaurus, this little reptile could have it all in the fierce war between the dodo and kairuku. They are like little puppy dogs, which means you pet them and they do some cool trick, like a backflip. They are great to have around bases, as they provide an xp buff so other dinos lvl quicker. Lystro army is also funny, I mean look at their little legs they're so adorable yes you are little lystro! Oops, gotta keep it professional here. Yeah they're great
As this creature is a passive tame, there is no need to knock it out. When you level this creature up, it somehow manages to do a back-flip. There is also a small option simply called “Pet” when hovering over it, appearing as a Heart Symbol on mobile. This will cause the Lystrosaurus to play one of three or four animations, and will also provide every other tamed creature in a large vicinity around it to receive a double-EXP boost for five minutes, and the effect given to your other tamed creatures lasts ten seconds repeatedly, acting as a sort of explorer note for them. They also seem to all have a base movement speed of 300%, and are relatively quick for their short legs. All in all, they are good creatures, with utility as well, too.. From.: .M.C.T……
If on ark mobile definitely tame one of these they may look small but trust me they are super helpful it gives xp boost and its kibble tames a diplo and it’s kibble tames an allo which is super powerful in packs and finally the allow can tame a griffin easily if using soothing balm
Hopefully this helped u pls /\ if this helped
Because this is a small creature, Argentavis can pick it up in its mouth and follow you, meaning you can essentially have a flying Lystro follow you around and give you the Exp buff, just make sure to pet it every once in a while, very useful for when going on killing sprees with a big creature like a Spino Rex or giga and levelling up
