When trying to run from this creature, It is important to make sure not run out of stamina or to enter the water as the Arthropluera is faster then you at base speed and in water, It is wise when PvPing the Arthropluera that you use ranged weapon such as bows, crossbows, longneck, etc. as Melee will as hurt you as you attack it
More Arthropluera Encountering Tips
DO NOT ENGAGE OR YOU WILL DIE! I was hunting araneos when this thing came out of nowhere and three shot me! All my dimorphs were literally devoured when I came back. It is like centipedes in real life but instead of killing you slowly with poison it kills you with bites quickly. Do not equip anything lower than Chitin or you will get one shot.

Stay TF back. Bug repellant and ghillie seems like your best option. Also, a longbow and a lot of distance. If it spots you, duck and weave MF, duck and weave!

Desmodus can pick these things up. And they can't spit on your armor while picked up. It's useful for moving them to a spot you can tame them easier.
Be mindful that arthro spit can break or severely damage even high-quality armor in a single hit. This is most notably a problem in swamp cave since if your gas mask or scuba breaks you will start taking poison gas damage. Stay safe in caves and bring some backup armor.
